Afternoon teatime is an amazing way of bonding and making new memories with your furry best friend. Try this simple green tea recipe that should last your pet a few days when stored in the refrigerator.
Procedure:
You can add warm decaf green tea directly to your pet’s dry food meals as a topper (which makes a “gravy” if you stir it) or use it to rehydrate dehydrated or freeze-dried pet food. I recommend green tea as a beneficial add-in to all highly processed pet foods, as it adds hydration and may help reduce the DNA damage caused by mycotoxins found in the food. Here are some serving size suggestions per day:
Decaffeinated Green Tea bags (no tincture, extracts, capsules, or concentrates)
4 Cups Water
Boil the water then add tea bag to the simmering hot water. Allow to cool completely then pour into 1L bottle or jar (preferred to use glass).
If you serve kibble or processed food, spoon or pour a little to moisten the food, and stir to make a healthy "gravy".
Adding additional moisture to processed kibble aids in the complete digestion of the food as well as all the health benefits that Green Tea is capable of providing.
