STANDARD SCHNAUZERS

The standard Schnauzer is a larger, much sturdier breed. This was the originator of the gene pool for both the Miniature and Giant varieties. The breeders within the Standard Schnauzer community have not been influenced by the "fashion quirks" of interbreeding other varieties within the gene pool to produce colors  and sizes not officially recognized.
